Can I tour an apartment?
A: If we currently have a vacant apartment home available, we'll be happy to show it to you! Simply give us a call at (763) 789-9937 to schedule an appointment.
How do I reserve an apartment and what is the reservation process?
A: To reserve an apartment, a non-refundable $50 application fee plus a $250 refundable deposit are required at the time of reservation. This will hold the apartment until final income qualification.
How do I income qualify?
A: Legends of Silver Lake Village participates in an affordable housing program.
Total household income must be under the following limits based on household size:
- 1 Occupant: $42,000
- 2 Occupants: $48,000
- 3 Occupants: $54,000
- 4 Occupants: $60,000
The household income is based on gross annual income (before any deductions) earned from all sources including wages, social security payments, public assistance, pensions, annuities, interest income, dividends, stocks, bonds, insurance settlements, recurring gifts from family/friends, lottery winnings, etc. Third-party verification will be required of all income, and copies of tax returns and pay stubs may be required.
Does the rent vary depending on my income?
A: No - You may income qualify to live at Legends as long as you are under the income limits determined by household size.
What types of apartments are offered?
A: A variety of 1 and 2 bedroom floor plans are available.
Are meal plans and health services available?
A: No, Legends is an independent living community.
What apartment amenities are available?
A: Apartment amenities include:
- Spacious open floor plan
- Balcony or patio
- Full size, in-home washer and dryer
- Energy Star appliances
- Master suite with walk-in closet and private bath (select homes)
- Built-in dishwasher and microwave
- Large breakfast bar or island
- Air conditioning
- 9-foot ceilings
What community amenities will be available to all residents?
A: Community amenities include:
- Fitness center (outfitted with treadmills, free weights, and elliptical machines)
- Underground heated parking (additional cost option)
- Clubroom with fireplace and full kitchen
- On-site beauty salon
- Craft room
- Theater room with large screen HDTV
- Secured entrances
- Additional storage available
- Private library
- 24-hour emergency maintenance

What neighborhood amenities are nearby?
A: Neighborhood amenities include:
- Nearby Silver Wood Park with rentals, art gallery, classes and more

Are there occupancy limitations?
A: The one-bedroom floor plans allow for a maximum of two occupants. The two-bedroom floor plans allow for a maximum of four occupants.
What types of lease terms are available?
A: 12-month lease agreements are available.
What parking accommodations are available?
A: In addition to surface lot parking, we also have underground parking garage spaces available for rent.
Is the building smoke-free?
A: Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building or on the grounds.
Is there a shuttle vehicle available for residents?
A: A shuttle vehicle is available for planned resident activities.
What is the pet policy?
A: Cats and dogs are welcome. Breed restrictions apply, contact us for details.
Do all household members need to be at least 55 years old?
A: At least one member of your household must be 55 years old. Other members must be a minimum of 18.
Is subletting permitted?
What utilities are included?
A: Water/sewer, and refuse are included in the rent. The resident is responsible for electricity, gas, cable TV, telephone and Internet.
